About
Ricardo Joevani Dennis
I started out photographing things most people walk past — insects, spiders, and plants in a Jamaican backyard, shot close enough that you can see what they actually look like. Macro work teaches you two things fast: how to wait, and how to see what is in front of you before you raise the camera.
Both of those turn out to matter just as much when the subject is a person. A good portrait is not a pose held correctly — it is the half-second after someone stops performing. My job is to be set up, ready, and patient enough to still be there when it happens.
I photograph portraits, events, and commercial work across Jamaica, and I travel for destination bookings. Sessions are planned in advance so the shoot itself is unhurried, and everything is priced up front — you will never get a surprise invoice from me.

How I work
Before the session. We agree on what the photos are for, where we are shooting, and roughly what you want out of it. If you are not sure, that is normal — I will make suggestions.
During. Direction if you want it, space if you do not. Most people relax about ten minutes in, and that is usually where the keepers come from.
After. A private online gallery with your fully edited images at full resolution. Delivery timelines are listed on each package and I hold to them.
